Introducing our newest Disc Revolution Team Player: Aidan Sanabria

We are very excited to announce that Aidan Sanabria has joined the Disc Revolution player team!  Playing alongside Aidan for the last year we have watched him grow and develop into an awesome player.  Through hard work and dedication he has improved his PDGA rating by 72 points in just 12 months, now sitting as a 903 rated player.  Aidan’s positive attitude, family values, and love of disc golf make him a perfect teammate for Disc Revolution.

Check out our interview with Aidan below and learn a little more about our newest team member.

What would you like everyone in the disc golf community to know about you?

I would like everyone to know that I am very dedicated to disc golf, improving my own game, and helping others improve as well.

How long have you been playing disc golf?  What brought you to the sport?

I have been playing disc golf for almost 2 years, I first discovered it through a family friend.

What is your favorite type of shot to throw and why?

My favorite shot to throw is a huge hyzer-flip forehand. It’s so satisfying to control a very understable disc exactly how I want to.

What part of the game do you want to work on improving?

I want to work on my mental game this season. I believe I can continue to improve my shots, but I can only execute those shots if I’m in the right state of mind.

What are your goals as part of Team Disc Revolution?

My goals are to grow. Grow as a player, grow Disc Revolution, and grow the sport in general as much as possible.

What is your favorite disc? Favorite manufacturer? Favorite pro player?  Why?

My favorite disc is the DD3. They go so far, and different runs can fill many different slots in my bag. My favorite manufacturer is Discmania. I really enjoy all of their tour series plastic, and it just works for my game. My favorite pro player is Eagle McMahon. Now that I’ve met him in person, he’s very kind and personable, and he can absolutely destroy a disc. I also feel obligated to represent the home team here in Colorado.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of disc golf?

To be honest, this is my sole passion at the moment. In the past, I’ve had many different interests and hobbies at once, until disc golf absorbed all of it. I believe that’s how I got to where I am so quickly, because I have dedicated almost all my time into becoming a better player.
